Repeater: Indigo International Design Awards Gold Winner

Only 8 months into Heavy Weather's journey, we've won Gold for our Repeater project at the international Indigo Design Awards, 2026. It's a mix of emotions, and has undoubtedly set a bar that we now must keep pushing higher and higher. Repeater is an ongoing live music series built around a strong sense of atmosphere and authorship. As Heavy Weather, I developed a unique creative direction for the series that was able to evolve and mutate across multiple events, platforms, and outputs. The jury presiding over the awards represent some of the most influential businesses and institutions such as Google, Spotify, Microsoft, Amazon as well as expert leaders, designers and illustrators. The honorary jury board members reviewed each submission based on the following criteria: creativity, originality, and adherence to the topic. More specifically, Heavy Weather won the Gold Award for best 'Integrated Graphic Design'. This means that the project was judged on how the work consistently occupied the physical and digital space (print, social, online, web and video). The work itself is strong in narrative, distinctive in design style and clear in its messaging. Repeater's design and execution explores how design can build an ongoing world around sound with each event becoming a living system, generating its own visual language across posters, newsprint, motion, social, and digital. Every piece is designed to feel discovered rather than produced, acting as both documentation and narrative.
