Shaping an anniversary identity that transforms 50 years of activity into a meaningful narrative.

50 Stories was developed as the identity for Junction Arts’ 50th anniversary, and represented an opportunity to define what that time represents. The project set out to communicate a complex body of work, turning 50 years of activity into a clear, legible narrative. The brand identity and creative direction was built around the idea of 50 individual stories, creating a framework that could hold multiple voices while expressing a coherent point of view. The work focused on tone, structure and editorial logic, establishing a system that could flex across content without losing clarity or consistency. The result transforms a milestone into an ongoing narrative that can be shared, understood and built on.

For Junction Arts’ 50 Stories anniversary project, the brief was to create a visual identity that could honour a major milestone. The resulting identity and guidebook offer a flexible anniversary system supporting the storytelling at the heart of the project.

Anatomy of a story: A modular identity system designed to hold complexity.

Anatomy of a Story became the central concept for the identity, grounding it in the structure of storytelling itself rather than a fixed visual mark. A modular system was built from fragments, connections and compositions that can be reconfigured to reflect different narratives, voices and perspectives. This allowed the identity to adapt across a wide range of content while maintaining a clear and consistent visual language. In doing so, the anniversary mark shifts from a single, symbolic asset into a working system that's capable of holding complexity without losing coherence, and enabling Junction Arts to express multiple stories within a unified identity.

Anatomy of a Story is the central concept that drives the identity. The logo is built from a modular visual system that reflects the structure of storytelling itself. Fragments, connections and compositions reconfigure to support different narratives, voices and values. This approach transformed the anniversary logo from a single asset into a flexible identity system, designed to hold multiple stories while maintaining a consistent visual language.

In summary: A framework for communicating legacy at scale.

The outcome is a story-led anniversary identity that transforms a single milestone into an ongoing, scalable narrative. Rather than delivering a one-off logo, the project establishes a flexible visual and editorial system that supports Junction Arts in communicating their work with clarity and consistency. Individual stories can be expressed in their own voice, while still contributing to a coherent and recognisable whole. This gives the organisation a framework not just for celebrating 50 years, but for articulating its value more clearly, making its history visible, its impact understandable, and its identity easier to share across audiences and platforms.

The outcome is a story-led anniversary identity designed to scale across platforms and formats. Rather than a one-off logo, the project delivers a flexible visual system that supports Junction Arts’ storytelling, allowing individual voices to be celebrated within a consistent and recognisable framework.
